Introduction

The Start Cup Piemonte Valle d’Aosta is a competition for the best innovative and knowledge-based business ideas aimed at creating innovative enterprises.

Start Cup Piemonte Valle d’Aosta is an entrepreneurial projects competition addressed to all those who have an innovative business idea. Innovative enterprises bring new features to products, processes, business organization or business model, in other words features that are new compared to the state-of-the-art of the technology found on the territory and that rapresent an economic value of knowledge and scientific competences. The competition is free and its aim is the creation of innovative enterprises within the incubators of Promoters.
The competitions proceeds with milestones and foresees cash prizes, training and assistance.
Admission and price assignment criteria are set in the official Call for proposals.


The competition consists of two stages:

In the first stage – Ideas Competition, all you need to do is describe your business idea briefly describing the project especially under its innovative aspects and application field
Only in the second stage – Business Plan Competition, you will be asked to draw up a complete business plan, aimed at a detailed description of the business idea characterized by its proper high level of knowledge- technical or technological, regardless of its development stage.
Both winners of the first stage and external people who have developed a business plan can take part to the second stage.


Aimed at promoting local economic growth, the competition has three key objectives:
• To support the creation of new knowledge-based enterprises and promote the growth of the local economy
• To raise awareness about entrepreneurship in young (and not so young) people;
• To offer to the participants the opportunity of a comparison with ideas and persons already involved in the production field.
