Application methods vary if you want to apply for the Ideas Competition or for the Business Plan Competition.
Application methods, admission requirements and criteria for the selection of winners are governed by the official Call for Proposals. Applications to take part in the Start Cup may only be submitted through the specific competition application forms.
Ideas Competition
Applications should include a brief description of the business idea (max. 10-20 lines), highlighting the innovative nature of the idea and the business sector(s) of application. The Business Idea Module and its attachments must be delivered in electronic or paper format to one of the Promoters within April 22, 2010 at 12.
Business Plan Competition
Applications should include a business plan of the entrepreneurial idea. The Business Plan Module and its attachments must be delivered in electronic or paper format to one of the Promoters within July 15, 2010 at 12.
The winning business plans will be chosen on the following criteria:
- a) Technical feasibility according to the proposing team;
- b) Assessment of the degree of technical development achieved;
- c) Originality of the product/service;
- d) Size of the market of reference;
- e) Satisfaction of market needs;
- f) Assessment of competition in the sector;
- g) Sustainability of the competitive advantage;
- h) Prospects for economic growth;
- i) Quality and competence of the business team;
- j) Quality and completeness of the business plan.
