It is possible to apply for both competition stages or just one.
Application methods, admission requirements and criteria for the selection of winners are governed by the official Call for Proposals. Applications to take part in the Start Cup Piemonte Valle d’Aosta Edition 2011 may only be submitted through the specific online application form available at the web page “Add your project” within the corrispondant due-date following:
- Stage I "Ideas Competition": April 20, 2011 at 12. POSTPONED to April, 27th at 12.00, due to the high number of requests from applicants.
- Stage II " Business Plan Comeptition": July 20, 2011 at 12

The top 5 projects ranked gain the right to participate in the Competition "National Award for Innovation in 2011 to be held in November in Turin. The terms of access and the organizational details of the "National Award for Innovation 2011” will be published on the website of Start Cup Piemonte Valle d'Aosta in the coming weeks.
The winning business plans will be chosen on the following criteria:
a) Technical feasibility according to the proposing team;
b) Assessment of the degree of technical development achieved;
c) Originality of the product/service;
d) Size of the market of reference;
e) Satisfaction of market needs;
f) Assessment of competition in the sector;
g) Sustainability of the competitive advantage;
h) Prospects for economic growth;
i) Quality and competence of the business team;
j) Quality and completeness of the business plan.
