The management platform TELA, developed by the innovative company HPA and supported by the Incubator of Politecnico di Torino (I3P), has been selected to manage online ticketing and the sale of merchandise related to the new exhibition by Anish Kapoor, the renowned British sculptor of Indian origin, as part of the 61st International Art Exhibition of Biennale di Venezia.
The exhibition runs from May 4 to August 8, 2026, at Palazzo Manfrin in Venice, located at Fondamenta Venier 342 in the Cannaregio district. The exhibition dedicated to Anish Kapoor features a core collection of approximately 100 architectural models, accompanied by large-scale sculptures and mirrored works, offering an overview of the artist’s more than fifty years of creative exploration.
The key features of the solution
For TELA, this is a particularly significant milestone: the platform has been adopted in an international exhibition setting centered around one of the most renowned names in contemporary art. The project for which the young company’s solution was selected confirms its ability to operate in cultural settings with highly complex organizational structures, where the visitor experience, operational continuity, and centralized service management directly impact the quality of public engagement.
The ticketing system not only handles admission to the exhibition but also sells materials related to the exhibition experience, including a booklet featuring the models on display and the publication Make New Space / Architectural Projects, which is also available in a limited edition signed by the artist.
In this context, TELA was chosen for its ability to manage ticketing and ancillary sales processes in an integrated manner within a high-profile international event. The platform allows for the consolidation of booking, sales, and pickup of purchased items into a single system, streamlining organizational workflows for both the public and the event organizer.
A valuable partnership
The adoption of TELA at an event of this magnitude also sends an important signal from an industrial perspective. The use of the platform at an exhibition taking place during Biennale di Venezia places the technology developed by HPA in a context of significant international exposure, demonstrating the product’s maturity and its potential for application in museums, temporary exhibitions, historic venues, and complex cultural events.
The choice of Palazzo Manfrin further reinforces the symbolic significance of the project. The building has been the headquarters of the Anish Kapoor Foundation since 2022 and hosts an exhibition designed to engage directly with its historic architecture, transforming the space into an integral part of the visitor experience. In a setting of this caliber, the technological component does not play a merely ancillary role, but becomes part of the infrastructure that enables efficient event management.
“Being selected to manage ticketing and the sale of merchandise related to an Anish Kapoor exhibition in Venice is a significant achievement for TELA,” said Vincenzo Paduano, CEO of HPA. “This assignment confirms the platform’s robustness and its ability to operate effectively in cultural contexts of international significance, reinforcing the work carried out by HPA, with the support of I3P, in developing digital solutions for the integrated management of complex events.”
