I3P - the Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino - hosted the development of the Challenges@Polito, a call addressed to Master's Degree students at Politecnico di Torino who were called to propose innovative solutions regarding different issues.
The challenge involved the use of Big Data and artificial intelligence to find solutions in different fields including security, environment, education, health, culture and commerce.
The proposed activities followed two different strands, one organized with respect to a theme proposed by Politecnico di Torino, the Challenge@Polito_by Students, and the other organized with an industrial partner, the Challenge@PoliTo_by Firms.
- Regarding Challenge@Polito_by Students students joined multidisciplinary teams and developed their ideas on two themes: "Artificial Intelligence: Shape the Future" and "Circular Economy: The right loop".
- Regarding Challenge@PoliTo_by Firms the different industrial partners, including FCA eMobility, Evo Development, Italian Cricket Farm and Poste Italiane, proposed challenges to the students, who were divided into multidisciplinary teams and had to propose their own solution ideas.
Among the companies that have proposed the challenges, Evo Development is a startup incubated at I3P that uses AI to develop models of choice that help customers in their decision-making process. Specifically, the theme proposed was the use of AI in the fashion field.
