The fifth edition of B-Factor, the Marisa Bellisario Foundation's contest dedicated to discovering, promoting, and supporting Italian female-led start-ups, is officially open.
The “B-Factor” is not just an award, it is recognition of the “Bellisario Factor”: the ability to innovate and the unwavering determination to create businesses and overcome obstacles that represent the legacy of values left by a pioneer such as Marisa Bellisario.
Since its inception, B-Factor has already awarded dozens of entrepreneurial projects, offering visibility, networking, and growth opportunities to all women who have founded, or intend to found, an organizational entity, whether it be a company or a non-profit organization.
As every year, proposals are evaluated by a technical-scientific committee according to three key criteria: leadership, ability to face the challenges of innovation, sense of responsibility.
Participation is individual, not corporate: it is the person who is evaluated, not the business plan.
The call for proposals is aimed at innovative female-led start-ups established no more than five years ago, who are active in Italy or enrolled in the Italian Company Register, with at least one woman among the founding members and with projects in any sector, from technology to sustainability, from fashion tech to health.
The selected finalists will have the opportunity to present their projects during the 25th edition of the seminar “Donne, Economia & Potere” to be held in Rome on October 18, 2025, at the Corsie Sistine di Santo Spirito in Sassia.
