Health Triage, an Italian deep tech company specialising in the development of Artificial Intelligence solutions for cancer prevention, announces the entry of Vertis SGR S.p.A. – through the Vertis Venture 6 Digital Sud fund (partially financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU) – and Health 1 into its shareholder structure.

Founded as an innovative start-up in 2020, in 2023 Health Triage completed its incubation path in I3P, the Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino. The young company is controlled by the Fin Posillipo S.p.A. group and already backed by Fondazione ENEA Tech e Biomedical. The investment, amounting to 3 million euro, is part of the company’s industrial growth path and is aimed at strengthening the technological ecosystem and accelerating the clinical adoption of the proprietary BreastNegative and Prostate V-Bio projects.

The new capital contribution complements the strategic 5 million euro investment finalised in 2025 by Fondazione ENEA Tech e Biomedical, a body supervised by the Italian Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy and by the Ministry of Health. The entry of these new investors confirms Health Triage as a benchmark asset in the national healthtech landscape, capable of combining scientific rigour with industrial vision.

The resources will be allocated to the organic development of the portfolio projects, to ongoing clinical validation and to technological integration into hospital workflows. The goal remains to turn Artificial Intelligence into a daily clinical standard, supporting physicians in early diagnosis with certified, safe and high-impact tools.

The consolidation of the company

The entry of Vertis SGR and Health 1, alongside the consolidated support of Fondazione ENEA Tech e Biomedical, marks a fundamental milestone in Health Triage’s consolidation path”, explained Davide Dettori, Founder & CEO of Health Triage. “This synergy, within the solid industrial perimeter of the Fin Posillipo S.p.A. group, strengthens our ability to accelerate the execution of our industrial plans and to further enhance the level of innovation in oncology diagnostics. The goal remains to turn research into a daily clinical standard, ensuring precision and efficiency at the service of both physician and patient. The entry of new partners also gives us the opportunity to invest in analysing our target markets and to explore new development opportunities for our technologies, with particular attention to therapeutic as well as diagnostic applications.

Renato Vannucci, Partner and Vice President of Vertis SGR, said: “Health Triage is a concrete example of how Artificial Intelligence can generate real impact in the clinical setting. We appreciated the strength of the team and the clarity of the industrial vision, as well as the scientific rigour with which the proprietary BreastNegative and Prostate V-Bio projects are developed. The presence of a leading institutional partner such as Fondazione ENEA Tech e Biomedical confirms the quality and reliability of the path undertaken. We are pleased to support Health Triage in this acceleration phase.”

Pierluigi Cacciatore, Investment Analyst for Health 1, stated: “Health Triage’s entry into the capital reflects a perfect balance between economic growth potential, high scientific value and impact on the healthcare system. We are proud to support the start-up on this challenging journey, with the aim of fostering the internationalisation of an excellent Italian technology and contributing to the consolidation of the innovation ecosystem in our country. We also wish to express particular thanks to the entire Health Triage team, led by Davide Dettori, for the professionalism and availability shown throughout the transaction, and to Fin Posillipo S.p.A. for having promoted the launch of this partnership.”

Raffaele Petrone, Group CEO of Fin Posillipo S.p.A., added: “Fin Posillipo believed in the Health Triage project from its very early stages, firmly supporting its development both financially and strategically. Today we are delighted to welcome the entry of new investors of primary importance, joining ENEA Tech e Biomedical, among the first to back the project in its early-stage phases. Their complementary skills and their diversity represent a fundamental added value in supporting the company’s growth path. This transaction further strengthens our conviction in Health Triage’s potential and in the quality of the work carried out by the management team. We are aware of the responsibility that accompanies projects like this: transforming scientific and technological innovation into concrete tools to support patients, helping to improve early diagnosis and the management of diseases that affect thousands of people every year.”
