Thanks to its cloud solution for sales management, capable of combining the speed of a cash point with the flexibility of a management system, Scloby has won over the Zucchetti Group, which has acquired 100% of the company.

Founded in 2013 at I3P, the Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino, Scloby has created a cloud platform that allows small traders, restaurants and shops to manage their business effectively and efficiently from anywhere and using any device, such as a computer, smartphone or tablet. It allows integrated management of all sales channels, from in-store sales to ecommerce, and all aspects of inventory, billing, marketing and loyalty at your fingertips, collecting and analysing data and ensuring great flexibility. A tool that was also extremely useful for stores and restaurants during lockdown, as Scloby made it possible to manage the whole process for online orders, home deliveries and invoicing even remotely or by quickly activating the ecommerce site function offered by the platform.

Scloby, which was among the finalists of the National Innovation Award and received the I3P Startup of the Year award, is now used daily by more than 600 retailers in Italy and abroad. With the entry into the Zucchetti Group, the product will get a further boost to growth.

"Joining the Zucchetti Group will allow Scloby to grow even faster, following the evolving needs of retailers and restaurateurs," says Francesco Medda, CEO of Scloby. "We are excited about the path we are designing together with the group: the long experience of Zucchetti combined with the most modern technologies used by Scloby represents the perfect combination for what a technology company should be today."

"Scloby is aimed at a market made up of mainly small and medium-sized companies, operating in different sectors: from catering to retail, passing through the service sector and the artisan sector," stated Angelo Guaragni, administrator of Zucchetti Hospitality. "The solution can still be customised and responds effectively to any type of need. The aim is to facilitate the digital transformation process of commercial activities as well, guaranteeing full compliance with the regulations on electronic invoicing and telematic transmission of receipts, and ensuring high standards of innovation."

"Thanks to its cloud platform, Scloby makes it possible to implement smart business management, a fundamental step towards an increasingly digital and connected world. Consumers' needs are changing, and as a result, businesses need to have at their disposal flexible solutions such as those proposed by Scloby," emphasises Giuseppe Scellato, president of I3P. "The acquisition of Scloby by Zucchetti is also a great satisfaction for I3P: we have always believed in the project and in 2017 we awarded Scloby the title of 'I3P Startup of the Year', certain that the development of the platform would have enabled new business models and attracted the attention of big players in the sector."
