About 75% of European buildings are energy inefficient: the Renovation Wave promoted by the European Commission indicates the need to double renovation work by 2030. This challenge combines urban regeneration and sustainability, two increasingly topical issues that will be the focus of the Restructura 2025 exhibition, scheduled to take place from November 13 to 15 at Oval Lingotto Fiere in Turin. The event will also be attended by I3P, the Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino.
Organized by GL events Italia, the 37th edition of the exhibition returns this year to show how construction can become a lever for environmental, social, and economic change. “The challenge today is to build better and enhance what already exists: a technical act, but also a cultural gesture that redesigns the way we live in cities. Restructura wants to give space to this evolution, creating connections between those who design, produce, and build the future starting from what already exists,” said Gábor Ganczer, CEO of GL events Italia.
With more than 150 exhibitors and a program of over 100 events, Restructura confirms its status as a leading platform for the world of construction, architecture, and design. The program of technical meetings, conferences, and workshops provides an opportunity for institutions, professionals, companies, and artisans to exchange ideas. Among the crucial topics is a reflection on how artificial intelligence and digital technologies are redefining the way construction processes are designed and managed: tools to make construction sites more efficient, safe, and controllable, paving the way for integrated and responsible resource management.
The Startup Village
Restructura 2025's Startup Village will be an exhibition area entirely dedicated to innovation and new businesses in the construction sector, created thanks to the collaboration with the main incubators and innovation hubs in the region, including I3P, Fondazione Piemonte Innova, Polo di Innovazione ICT, Impact Hub Torino, and Politecnico di Torino.
In this area, start-ups will be able to present their projects, connect with investors, companies, and professionals, and discuss solutions related to digitization, sustainability, home automation, green materials, and new construction models. This initiative confirms Restructura's desire to give voice to new entrepreneurship and promote dialogue between research, technology, and the market.
Alongside the incubator, Plino, a young Turin-based company incubated at I3P, will also be participating in the exhibition. Plino simplifies and speeds up the analysis of accounting, financial, and management control data for SMEs thanks to generative artificial intelligence. Last September, the start-up closed a €650,000 funding round aimed at developing its platform with new AI-based features.
Reefilla and Smartotum, both young companies supported by I3P in recent years, will also be present at Restructura 2025, presenting their innovative technological solutions for, respectively, construction sites and home automation.
