ESSS and the Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino (I3P) announce the launch of a new partnership to put simulation at the service of start-ups.

ESSS, a multinational company founded in Brazil and now present in Latin America, the USA, Spain, Portugal, and Italy, provides a wide range of numerical simulation solutions to over 500 companies in sectors such as oil & gas, aerospace, mining, automotive, and energy. ESSS is an Apex Channel Partner of Ansys, part of Synopsys, a world leader in numerical simulation: the Ansys suite allows the virtual replication of the behavior of complex products and processes through fluid dynamics (CFD), structural (FEM), thermal, electromagnetic, optical, and multiphysics simulations, reducing development times and costs and promoting sustainability.

The Startup Program of ESSS & Ansys

The ESSS Startup Program is an initiative designed to support innovative deep-tech start-ups that want to accelerate the development of their products and services in the engineering and simulation sector. The program offers access to advanced simulation tools, specialized training, and personalized technical support, facilitating the creation of scalable, high-performance solutions.

Aimed primarily at young companies in the growth phase, the program also provides networking opportunities with industry experts and other innovative organizations, creating a stimulating environment for collaboration and innovation.

The benefits of the program

Startups that join the ESSS Startup Program through the agreement signed with I3P gain access to a range of benefits and opportunities, including:

  • Exclusive discount for start-ups in the I3P ecosystem: young companies in the I3P ecosystem are entitled to a 15% discount on software, as well as a 50% discount on the purchase of a second Bundle. This allows them to use the best simulation tools without having to bear the economic burden of the respective commercial licenses.

  • Accelerate innovation: start-ups can quickly test new ideas and solutions in a virtual environment, accelerating the innovation process. Advanced simulations allow you to explore various scenarios and optimize designs without necessarily having to build physical prototypes.

  • Reduce development time and costs: the use of highly accurate simulations allows problems to be identified and resolved before physical production, an advantage that speeds up development cycles and reduces the time and costs required to bring the product to market.

  • Improve product quality: advanced simulations help refine every aspect of the product, improving its quality and reliability. Testing designs in virtual environments avoids costly errors and optimizes performance.

  • Increased attractiveness for investment: a virtual prototype validated by realistic simulations can provide concrete evidence of the product's potential, strengthening investor confidence and facilitating fundraising.

  • Visibility and networking opportunities: start-ups can collaborate with ESSS and Ansys in the creation of case studies and scientific papers, gaining greater recognition in the sector and strengthening their credibility in the market.

The Ansys bundles for start-ups

The Ansys packages offered through the ESSS Startup Program are designed to meet the specific needs of young, innovative companies, offering scalable and affordable solutions for engineering simulation.

Start-ups can choose from several Ansys bundles, each dedicated to specific analysis activities:

  • Structures and Fluids Bundle: structural, mechanical, and fluid dynamics simulations (FEM and CFD).
  • Electromagnetics Bundle: low- and high-frequency electromagnetic analyses.
  • Digital Missions Bundle: multidisciplinary simulations of digital missions and complex systems.
  • Embedded Software Bundle: development, verification, and validation of embedded software.
  • Optics and Photonics Bundle: optical, photonic, and light propagation simulations.

Thanks to the variety of packages available, innovative companies can select those best suited to their needs, thus optimizing costs and resources. To understand which solution can be most effective in accelerating the growth of a startup, ESSS offers a personalized technical assessment by a team of experts, who analyze the specific needs of the project and suggest the most suitable solutions. This support allows you to select the ideal software package to optimize processes and accelerate development time, enabling the startup to maximize its potential.

To benefit from the partnership with ESSS, entrepreneurial teams incubated and pre-incubated in I3P can contact their tutor to be put in touch with the ESSS representative dedicated to the start-up world.
