StepToStart 2022, the new programme of lectures organised by the Technology Transfer and Industry Relations (TRIN) area of Politecnico di Torino, in collaboration with I3P, is about to begin, with six appointments from February to May.
The initiative is open to researchers, PhD students, professors and students who are developing a potentially revolutionary technology, or anyone interested in setting up a company and figuring out how to launch it on the market.
The focus will be on the process and tools for creating an academic start-up; how to create a team, the skills needed and how to develop managerial skills; IP as a strategic asset for start-ups; and finally, how to grow a company through partnerships with other companies and investor funding.
Participants will have the opportunity to listen to first-hand accounts and meet some of the start-ups resulting from research projects at Politecnico di Torino, belonging to the I3P network, including SynDiag, Omnidermal, Toothpic, Wave For Energy, U-Care Medical and Aquaseek.
The scheduled appointments will be held on Fridays, from 15:30 to 17:00/17:30, and will consist of:
- 45 minutes of theory;
- 30/45 minutes of direct testimony and discussion with spin-offs on the topic addressed;
- 15/30 minutes of round table and final Q&A;
- snacks offered to participants in attendance.
