Tyvak, a company founded in 2015 as a startup at I3P, the incubator of Innovative Companies of Politecnico di Torino, today represents the first international reality of the US group Terran Orbital Corporation and counts over 200 small satellites launched all over the world. The company has supported more than 75 government and commercial missions including NASA, ESA and ASI missions. "We were born just 5 years ago but we are growing a lot, we immediately turned towards the market of micro-nanosatellites that we believe to be the way of the future," explains the CEO.

The latest success of the company is the Milani mission: the European Space Agency Esa has selected the Turin-based company within the HERA program for the defense of the planet, to send a nanosatellite into orbit with the aim of observing an asteroid for the first time and at a distance of less than 5 kilometres. For the first time, nanosatellite systems will go on mission, with the possibility of conducting close studies, collecting data and testing new technologies.

The production of small satellites "is the future", the CEO of Tyvak International, interviewed by Adnkronos, shines a spotlight on space technologies capable of reducing the digital divide, following the publication of a government decree that will also further extend remote work.

Encouraged by the success achieved a month ago with the latest Esa launch of the Vega - the first in 'rideshare' service - which also put into orbit the FssCat minisatellites produced by Tyvak, Marco Villa announces an extension with new hires in the company's Turin facilities.

"All these satellites are working well and we are very pleased. We have in sight 10-12 other programs at different stages of development, we are growing and we are hiring in Italy, in Turin, we have opened about 20 new positions" stated the CEO, who has been working in the US in the aerospace sector for 15 years.

"In Turin we focus on highly trained employees and our approach, since the birth of Tywak, is to give opportunities to 'young' Italian talents. By ''young'' I am not only referring to age, I mean people of all ages: smart and projected towards new horizons", concluded Villa.
