"Do something great, for yourself, for Italy, for a common future". This is the invitation that opens the call for entries for the Premio 2031, the main innovation awards platform in Italy and one of the most important internationally, with over one million euros in prize money up for grabs for the most innovative start-ups, companies and SMEs.
Premio 2031 is a competition open to individuals, project teams, start-ups and already established companies that have a new business idea, capable of generating an economic spin-off and a positive social impact mainly on the Italian territory, with headquarters and base of development in Italy but that demonstrate the capacity for international growth. The initiative, which is divided into two calls for proposals, makes it possible to apply for more than one application at the same time. The ideas proposed must be original, innovative and feasible, financially sustainable and capable of generating economic returns.
In order to join the contest, which is free, you must fill in the online form in the dedicated section of the initiative's website, following the requirements for participation and applying by 14 October 2021. The awards and final ceremony will take place within the end of the year.
More than one hundred active partners - including I3P - for 44 major prizes, 17 of which sponsored by corporations and 26 offered by incubators, accelerators, science and technology parks, with the main partners being Repower and Unicredit Start Lab, M31 as a technology partner, and the support of the entire Italian innovation system, plus the patronage of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies and AGID - Agenzia per l'Italia Digitale. There will be plenty of opportunities to get your idea off the ground with important prizes offered by multinational and global companies, from banking to energy, from telecommunications to technology, from consultancy to wine and food.
There is a special focus on companies presenting a high-impact idea, to which €100,000 in prize money is dedicated. There are four prizes dedicated to ideas with specific social impact: "Premio dall'idea all'impresa a forte impatto", with €50,000 euro in prize money with Margherita Marzotto as the main donor, "Premio Fondazione Marzotto" with €30,000 in prize money, Impact Foundation's Special Prize "IMPatto Lavoro Italia", also with €30,000 for non-profit companies and third sector organisations, and the Special Prize "2030 Social Impact" with €30,000 in convertible notes.
