On November 13th CTE Next, the House of Emerging Technologies of Turin, opened its new Call4Acceleration realised in collaboration with Digital Magics and The Doers.

The call aims to identify and support start-ups and teams of aspiring entrepreneurs in the Cleantech sector. The selected companies and teams will be guided in the development of technology ideas and solutions using 5G together with emerging technologies such as IoT, Blockchain and AI. The goal is clear: to promote sustainable urban services and accelerate the ecological transition of the region.

The context is even more significant considering that Turin is one of the 100 cities committed to the European mission "Climate Neutral and Smart Cities", which aims to reduce CO2 emissions to zero at the local level already by 2030, twenty years ahead of the European targets, with a focus on crucial sectors such as waste management and mobility.

The two-month acceleration programme will provide start-ups and unincorporated teams with targeted support for business model development, coaching and training. In addition to different services offered by CTE Next partners, such as, for instance, co-working spaces in CSI Next, the home of the House of Emerging Technologies in Turin.

The final stage will be a "Pitch Day" where companies and teams can present themselves to investors, companies and other key players in the CTE Next innovation ecosystem.

Economic benefits for start-ups: selected young companies will have the opportunity to receive financial support of up to €15,000 as reimbursement of expenses incurred, covering up to 90% of eligible expenses.

The aim of the initiative is to select up to 9 start-ups and 3 teams of aspiring entrepreneurs who bring Cleantech solutions enabled by 5G and emerging technologies for innovative urban services.

The call closes on January 8th, 2024. For more information and to apply for a project, please visit the official call page on the CTE Next website.
