The DEEPACT (High Impact ACTion to Accelerate DEEP Tech Ecosystems) programme complements the specific actions undertaken in recent years by LINKS Foundation, in synergy with its founders – Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and Politecnico di Torino – aimed at improving the territory’s performance in attracting competitive funding for Deep Tech Innovation through the programmes promoted by the European Innovation Council (EIC).
In particular, DEEPACT offers deep tech start-ups and SMEs operating in the LINKS ecosystem a personalised and free support service to prepare solid applications for two of the most ambitious EIC programmes:
- the EIC Accelerator, which funds SMEs and start-ups in scaling up innovations with the potential to establish themselves in the market from Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 to 8 and, potentially, TRL 9;
- the EIC STEP Scale Up, which supports start-ups, SMEs and small mid-caps that have already secured initial funding rounds in developing and manufacturing game-changing innovations in critical technologies for the EU in the digital/deep tech, cleantech and biotech sectors
The companies to which DEEPACT will offer its support service will be selected among the ones that submit an application to the Call for Expressions of Interest and demonstrate the potential to successfully participate in the EIC Accelerator or in the EIC STEP Scale Up programmes.
The DEEPACT Call for Expressions of Interest has a cut-off date - set for September 30, 2025 - and the support service will be provided by a Service Provider selected by LINKS Foundation among the most successful companies in Europe, specialised in preparing EIC Accelerator applications.
