Sesa, a leading operator in the field of technological innovation, IT and digital services for the business segment, has signed an industrial partnership agreement, through its subsidiary Var Group, to acquire the majority of the capital of Mediamente Consulting, a company in which it already owned a 20% stake, thereby strengthening its expertise in the field of Data Science solutions.
Mediamente, founded as a start-up within the Incubator of Politecnico di Torino in 2012, received the 'I3P Start-up of the Year' award in 2016 and now operates with a workforce of around 45 human resources and revenues in FY 2022 of €5 million, up by more than 30% compared to the previous year, with an Ebitda margin of around 20%. The young company has developed skills and specialisations in corporate data management and analysis, developing Corporate Performance Management, Data Visualization, Data Integration and Data Management solutions, crucial areas for enabling the digital transformation of companies and organisations into Data Driven Companies.
The partnership with Mediamente enriches the competences of the Data Science business unit of Var Group, which reaches a total of more than 100 specialised resources and €12.5 million in revenues, constituting a strategic pole to support the realities of the Italian industrial and entrepreneurial fabric along the entire Data Journey, from the Data Platform to the most advanced applications based on Artificial Intelligence. The transaction envisages the continuation as Managing Partner and the involvement of CEO Vincenzo Scinicariello in the medium- and long-term capital.
The Sesa Group thus continues to nurture its growth path, both in terms of resources and digital skills, through bolt-on industrial M&A in sectors of strategic importance for its development and with a policy of sustainable value generation for stakeholders.
