The City of Turin has launched a new Public Notice, in Italian language, aimed at selecting projects dedicated to culture and entrepreneurship rooted in the circular economy and the urban fabric, as part of the national program "PN Metro Plus and Città Medie Sud 2021–2027".

The Notice supports projects promoted by small-medium enterprises (SMEs) and non-profit organizations, individually or in partnership (from 2 to 5 entities), that have a significant impact on the City of Turin. The initiative offers financial support to companies and organizations that want to develop and test new models, products, or services aimed at promoting the transition to an urban circular economy in the following areas:

  • creation and strengthening of circular urban supply chains for waste reduction and resource reuse;
  • local infrastructure for reuse, repair, and recycling, based on innovative logistics and technology models;
  • products and services based on circular design, eco-design, and circular inputs to reduce the environmental impact of production processes.

The interventions must contribute to the program's objectives: promoting circular entrepreneurial culture, supporting urban ecological transition, and strengthening sustainable local supply chains and services.

The support for projects

The call will reward projects that are capable of creating solid networks, involving local communities, and demonstrating consistency with the environmental and social objectives of the Notice.

Eligible companies, organizations, and partnerships will receive a non-repayable grant covering up to 80% of eligible expenses, up to a maximum of €120,000. A minimum co-financing of 20% is therefore required. Eligible entities will also receive:

  • support for the design and launch of activities;
  • strategic support and project consolidation;
  • training for the development of an impact monitoring framework;
  • support in the analysis and evaluation of trials.
