The Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino (I3P), the ESA BIC Turin incubation program and a large group of supported start-ups are joining the event programme of Innovationship 2025, the first itinerant event on innovation in the Mediterranean, organized by Factory Accademia, EY and Harmonic Innovation Group.
Setting sail toward innovation
The goal of Innovationship is to bring together innovators from companies, start-ups, public administrations, universities, and research centers from Italy, France, and Spain to meet and exchange experiences and best practices in their respective fields.
From 15 to 22 September, the cruise ship will sail through an 8-day Mediterranean journey connecting innovation hubs from Civitavecchia (Rome) to Palermo, visiting vibrant cities such as Marseille, Barcellona and Ibiza, with unique opportunities at each port to engage with local tech ecosystems.
Each day in each port will offer start-up pitches and round tables on the Main Stage of the ship, plus many opportunities for professional contacts and interactions in the dedicated Exhibition Stage. Among the topics of the thematic panels that will be held on board: Aerospace, Agrifoodtech, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Design, Edge & Quantum Computing, Cyber Security & 5G/6G, Fashion & Luxury, Health & Pharma, Robotics, Smart Cities Transport, Sustainability & Mobility.
The participation of I3P and ESA BIC Turin
I3P and ESA BIC Turin will join Innovationship on the date of Tuesday 16 September, during the ship's stopover in Genoa (Liguria, Italy).
The participating start-ups from the community of I3P are Alpha Impulsion, Astradyne, Deplotic, Dropper, Evolunar, Focoos AI, InspectionDrone, Novac, Space V, Syllog and Volta Structural Energy. Nine of these eleven young companies are either incubatees or alumni of ESA BIC Turin. All start-ups will have the chance to pitch their innovative projects, gain exposure, join workshops, meet potential investors and partners.
During the afternoon, on the Main Stage of the ship, the thematic panel “Venturing into Space: innovation and entrepreneurship beyond Earth” will include as speakers Giuseppe Scellato, President of I3P and Coordinator of ESA BIC Turin, and Leo Italiano, Senior Consultant of I3P and Program Manager of ESA BIC Turin, together with representatives from the Italian space industry, academia and public institutions.
